Ever wonder where big bass go when they don't want to be found? The California Delta. A fabled labyrinth of waterways in inland California that will get an angler lost, and where big fish can be found, If you are with someone who knows where to search! Luckily, we joined Delta resident and renowned pro bass angler Bobby Barrack on his favorite water (without blindfolds) as well as Delta fly pro Kevin Doran and angler John Sherman. What we saw still has us up late at night looking at maps of the mysterious California Delta and talking about what we saw!

This year HowardFilms went on a road trip for America's most infamous underwater creature: The Largemouth Bass. We wanted to see this fish up close & personal, but were not sure how it could have the drama of a saltwater fish haunting white-sand flats. So, we spent a year looking around for the right place to start our odyssey. And yes, unlike Location X, we ARE going to publicly reveal our locations when we are done shooting. Even though Bass has been on center stage for years, we think what made us cast so relentlessly when we first picked up a rod needs to be rediscovered. So, we did a lot of research and found the ultimate place to start our journey. The home of many of the heaviest bass ever caught on earth: the hills of Southern California. (Our anglers had fished all over the world, and their hands were shaking after the first day from what they saw.)
